What has inspired me to write
A lot of my writing incorporates basketball, softball, golf, and volleyball. Sports are something I truly am passionate about. I have written about sports from the time that I first began writing up until this point in my life. Sports are therapeutic for me, and there is no better way than to include them into my writing.
I have always found myself writing about nature. Nature is just so beautiful and peaceful. I have found myself writing about trees, plants, the earth, etc. A lot of my poems in middle school incorporated nature. There is nothing more beautiful than stepping outside and exploring what is there. I have not found myself writing about nature recently, but it something I'd like to bring back.
My family members are some of the most important people in my life. They are the ones that I can always count on, regardless of the situation. A lot of my essays, poems, and short stories incorporate them in some way. When looking over some of my journal entries from elementary school, I discussed the fights I'd have with my parents and siblings. They inspire me to want to share and express some of my stories. They have definately impacted some of the decisions I've made today. If it weren't for them, I don't think I'd be where I am today.
I have always loved animals. In the second grade I wrote a young author's story on my guinea pig Zippity who had recently passed. Last year I even wrote a meaningful essay about man's best friend and my dog Symba. Animals are some of the most loyal creatures a person will ever encounter and there is no better way than to write about them.
